ONTARIO - Ontario Premier Doug Ford is set to announce new COVID-19 restrictions this afternoon.
The press conference is scheduled for 4:00 pm today, however it could get delayed again. The announcement has already been delayed twice today, It was originally scheduled for 2:30 pm and then at 3:30 pm. We will be carrying the press conference live as soon as the Premier comes on at 104.7 Heart FM.
New modelling released today suggests the Province could see up to 18,000 daily cases of COVID-19 by the end of May if current trends continue.
Several medial outlets are reporting the Province will not be implementing a curfew today and daycare's will be allowed to stay open.
The new restrictions that are being announced today could have an impact on non essential construction, retail and factories. There is also word the Province is considering closing golf courses.
