Rodney Stafford, the father of the late Victoria Stafford, will be hosting a Protest for Change, Life means Life rally on Parliament Hill in Ottawa this Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - This Saturday is the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims.
One of the most prominent murders in Canadian history happened in Woodstock with young Victoria Stafford.
Her father, Rodney Stafford is hosting another protest on Parliament Hill this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Stafford says he started his Protest for Change, Life means Life crusade when one of his daughters killers, Terri-Lynn McClintic was sent to an aboriginal healing lodge.
"It started when I learned about all of the extra's that they're allowed with medical leaves outside the prison, allowed to see family members and stuff that convicted child killers should not be entitled too."
Because of Stafford's efforts, McClintic is back where she belongs at a maximum security prison. He notes that his story is just one of thousands across Canada and this protest is hoping to shed a light on that.
"We will be sharing stories, there is a lot of families involved, this is basically nation wide, these go across the board, it is horrible and they only continue to grow, with killers and murderers only serving 10 to 12 years in some cases."
