ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,824 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 121,746. The numbers today are slightly inflated due to a technical error and they include the numbers from the past 3 days from the Middlesex London Health Unit.
The Province confirmed another 14 deaths this morning and the total number of deaths now sits at 3,712. Meanwhile another 1,541 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 103,239.
The province completed 52,873 tests yesterday. We currently have 666 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 195 in the ICU and 107 COVID-19 patients on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are coming from area hotspots with 592 new cases in Peel, 396 in Toronto and 187 in York Region.
