We currently have 16,034 active cases in Ontario after the Province confirmed 1,925 new cases this morning and 1,412 recoveries.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,925 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 129,234.
The total number of deaths now sits at 3,798 after the weekend. Meanwhile another 1,412 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 109,402.
The province completed 45,283 tests yesterday. We currently have 725 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 213 in the ICU and 121 COVID-19 patients on a ventilator. At least 40 hospitals in the Province did not report their numbers from the weekend, so the number of people in the hospital with COVID-19 is likely higher than what is being reported today. Most of the new cases are coming from area hotspots with 601 new cases in Toronto, 512 in Peel, 167 in York Region and 133 in Durham.
