For the first time this week, the daily case numbers are over 2,000, we also had 2,491 resolved cases and the Province completed nearly 65,000 tests yesterday.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,093 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 262,463.
The Province also confirmed another 56 COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total number of deaths connected to the virus in Ontario to 6,014. Meanwhile another 2,491 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 234,971.
The province completed 64,664 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,338 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 358 people in the ICU and 276 in the ICU on a ventilator. The areas with biggest increases today include 700 new cases in Toronto, 331 in Peel, 228 in York Region and 123 in Niagara.
