Ontario is reporting the highest daily case total this month with 226 new cases today.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 226 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 550,178.
One additional COVID-19 related death was recorded today, meaning the total number of deaths now sits at 9,339. Another 148 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 539,348.
The province completed nearly 20,993 tests yesterday. We currently have 108 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 86 people in the ICU and 59 in the ICU on a ventilator. The majority of the cases are coming from hot spot regions with 62 new cases in Toronto, 35 in the Region of Waterloo, 24 in Peel Region, 13 in York Region, 13 in Hamilton and 13 in Halton Region.
