Daily case numbers are back over 2,000 today with 2,400 new cases in Ontario and 2,763 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,400 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 517,090.
The Province confirmed 27 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,552. Another 2,763 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 485,512.
The province completed 45,406 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,320 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 721 people in the ICU and 493 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 607 new cases in Toronto, 528 in Peel, 224 in Hamilton, 181 in York Region and 110 in Durham
