The Province confirmed 257 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, however all but 80 of those cases are from migrant farm workers in the Windsor-Essex area.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 257 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, which is a 0.5% increase and brings the total number of cases in the Province to 34,911.
Thus far, 2,655 have died from COVID-19 in Ontario and 1,706 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile another 89 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 30,196.
5,468 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 2,283 cases are from health care workers.
We currently have 232 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 46 are in the ICU and 35 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 27,127 tests yesterday.
