We have more recoveries than new cases again today in the Province of Ontario.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,578 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 240,364.
A total of 5,433 Ontario residents have died after testing positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile another 2,826 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 206,310.
The province completed 40,301 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,571 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 394 people in the ICU and 303 in the ICU on a ventilator. Those numbers are expected to be higher tomorrow as nearly 10 % of hospitals in the Province did not report their data from the weekend.
