Daily case numbers are under 3,000 in Ontario for the first time in weeks.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,791 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 476,692.
The Province confirmed 25 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,143. Another 3,323 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 432,109.
The province completed 33,740 tests yesterday. We currently have 2,167 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 886 people in the ICU and 609 in the ICU on a ventilator. Well over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 931 new cases in Toronto, 653 in Peel, 275 in York Region, 147 in Durham and 128 in Hamilton.
