Daily case numbers are the lowest they have been in weeks in Ontario, however a record 2,336 people are currently in the hospital with COVID-19.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 3,265 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 452,126.
The Province confirmed 31 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 7,964. Another 3,908 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 404,248.
The province completed 34,000 tests yesterday. We currently have 2,336 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 875 people in the ICU and 589 in the ICU on a ventilator. Well over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 1,044 new cases in Toronto, 673 in Peel, 452 in York Region, 171 in Durham and 150 in Ottawa.
