Province Confirms 3,469 New Cases of COVID-19 This Morning

The daily case numbers in Ontario are the lowest they have been in a week with 3,469 new cases and 3,369 resolved cases.

ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 3,469 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 424,911. 

The Province confirmed 22 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 7,757. Another 3,369 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 374,213. 

The province completed 40,596 tests yesterday. We currently have 2,360 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 773 people in the ICU and 537 in the ICU on a ventilator. Well over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 1,074 new cases in Toronto, 775 in Peel, 406 in York Region, 256 in Durham and 197 in Ottawa.
