For the second day in a row the Province of Ontario set another daily record for COVID-19 infections with 4,812 and 3,151 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 4,812 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 408,383.
The Province confirmed 25 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to7,664. Another 3,151 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 360,742.
The province completed 64,304 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,955 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 701 people in the ICU and 480 in the ICU on a ventilator. Well over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 1,469 new cases in Toronto, 851 in Peel, 491 in York Region, 366 in Ottawa and 268 in Durham.
