Daily case numbers are under 1,000 today in the Province of Ontario.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 916 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 531,459.
The Province confirmed 13 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,757. Another 1,707 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 510,135.
The province completed 18,226 tests yesterday. We currently have 731 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 617 people in the ICU and 382 in the ICU on a ventilator. The hospital numbers are likely higher, with around 10 percent of hospitals not submitting data from the weekend. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 226 new cases in Toronto, 165 in Peel, 85 in York Region, 67 in Durham and 52 in Hamilton.
