For the second day in a row, the Province of Ontario has set a new daily record for COVID-19 cases with 939 today. Most of the new cases are from Toronto.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 939 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 57,681.
The Province confirmed 5 new deaths related to the virus this morning and the total now sits at 2,997. Meanwhile another 724 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 49,032.
The province completed 44,914 tests yesterday. Over half of the new cases come from four regions in Toronto, Peel, Ottawa and York Region.
We currently have 225 COVID-19 patients in the hospital and 47 are in the ICU.
