"Whether you can give $10 or $1000, we need your help to bring this dream into reality.”
BRANT COUNTY - The County of Brant has launched the public fundraising campaign for the brand new Cowan Community Health Hub.
After reaching out to local investors and organizations, they have already reached 80% of their 2 million dollar fundraising goal. This includes a huge $800,000 donation announced last week from the Cowan Foundation.
Mayor David Bailey says they're now in a position to ask the public for the rest of the money.
“Businesses, organizations and individuals have been incredibly generous, gifting major donations, and now we need you to help us finish this campaign. Every donation matters and will be recognized on the donor wall. Whether you can give $10 or $1000, we need your help to bring this dream into reality.”
The Health Hub is almost finished and will open in November. It is designed to deliver a more seamless and integrated approach to health care and mental health services. The new health hub will not replace the Willett, which isn't going anywhere.
Mayor David Bailey says the community is growing and this new facility will address those needs.
“As the County continues to grow, the needs within our community also evolve. We are striving to be a healthy community for all people who choose to call Brant home and the Health Hub is one major step in the right direction.”
