The Give Thanks To Your Hospital Radiothon is looking to raise $38,000 the Woodstock Hospital this year.
WOODSTOCK - Heart FM will be on location at the Woodstock Hospital for the second annual Give Thanks To Your Hospital Radiothon.
We will be broadcasting live out of the hospital lobby on Thursday October 18th, encouraging people to call in or stop by to donate.
Senior Development Officer Jocelyn Jenner says the hospital relies on community donations.
"All equipment at the hospital is not supported by the government so we rely on businesses and individuals in the community to donate so we can purchase that vital equipment."
They're hoping to raise $38,000 this year and Jenner adds all of the money will benefit their maternal child unit.
"We are looking to purchase a few different items. One is a wireless fetal monitor, which is helpful so moms in labour can actually move around so they don't have to stay in their bed."
They are also looking to purchase new blanket warmers and rolling stands for other equipment.
