Woodstock's Mark Raycroft has picked up an award from the OHL for his work off the ice. The 17-year-old Brampton Battalion defenceman has won January's "Academic Player of the Month" for the Central Division. The OHL noted Raycroft is "making excellent academic strides in his three Grade 12 University preparation courses". Raycroft is ranked as the 37th best draft-eligible player by NHL Central Scouting in their midterm rankings. He as 6-assists and a +4 rating in 48-games for the Battalion this season.
