Johnson and Johnson is recalling its OneTouch Verio I-Q blood glucose meters in Canada and the U-S. The meters made by J-and-J's LifeScan unit shut off instead of providing a warning when a diabetic's blood sugar level is dangerously high. Instead, the meters turn off. The company says it will issue a free replacement meter to all patients. LifeScan estimates about 60-thousand of the meters are in use in Canada.
