Reuseapaloozaha will take over the Embro Community Centre tomorrow and there will be COVID-19 safety protocols in effect.
EMBRO - For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, Reuseapaloozaha will take over the Embro Community Centre.
The annual swap meet will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday September 25th. It's a free event where you could bring in your unwanted items and possibly pick up something that catches your eye.
Bryan Smith is one of the organizers and he says the event has been a huge success in the past.
"We've had hundreds come. Which could prove to be a bit of a challenge this time because we have a limit to the capacity of the room under COVID rules, but we figure with people moving in one direction through the room that we'll be able to get lots through to have a look."
Smith says you will be able to go through the room multiple times as long as you follow the flow of traffic. You'll also have to wear a mask and there will be hand sanitizer stations as well.
Smith says they'll also have some items outside the building if the weather cooperates.
"Anything that is on the heavy side and could stay outside will do so. So people can have a look around in the parking lot adjacent to the door or they could come through the door and see some small furniture, clothing, books, kitchen wares and all sorts of stuff."
