Get your poker face ready for the Ride for Rescue Poker Run supporting the Oxford County Animal Rescue
WOODSTOCK - The Oxford County Animal Rescue is hosting their 2nd annual Ride for the Rescue Poker Run.
Motorcycle riders are invited to sign up for the scenic tour through the County. Registration starts at 9 a.m. on Sunday at the Rescue office on Nellis Street and the ride starts 10 a.m.. It costs $15 for single riders, $20 with a passenger. Foster Coordinator at the rescue Anna Holmes tells Heart FM why they call it the poker run.
"In order to keep everyone on the route, we have stops along the way where they receive a poker card and at the end of the ride they should have 5 and the person with the best hand will receive a prize. We also have other prizes to give out and it promises to be a fun day."
All of the money raised benefits the Rescue.
"Funds go towards the care of domestic animals in Oxford County that come into our rescue and it helps to go towards the number one expense we face which is the vet bills."
Pre-registration can be done by emailing anna@oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com
