A Canadian dream was realized this morning in Woodstock. Helena Friesen and her family picked up a shiny new Toyota Camry Hybrid from the Norwich Ave. Tim Horton's location. Friesen was one of this year's grand prize winners in the Roll Up the Rim contest, a Canadian icon. Friesen, from Courtland, describes the day of her big win. "We were coming from Toronto Airport, we were coming from a funeral. We stopped in here at this Tim Horton's. My husband got me a medium tea. When we started driving I said 'I want that car!', I was just being sarcastic. But I rolled up the rim and it said 'Camry'...I looked at it again, it said 'Camry', I gave it to my husband and he said 'You won a Camry!'. I was like 'Wow!', I was in tears, I couldn't believe it." Friesen was trembling with excitement this morning as she got to sit in, and start the vehicle up with her three young boys climbing in along with her. The vehicle was so quiet when it started up, Friesen didn't think she had started it, and neither did Franchisee Owner Leslie Farrell. "Well no, you couldn't hear it! It's a hybrid, it's phenomenal! You turn it on and you couldn't even hear the car running. It would be great, you could sneak home from shopping and no one would know." Farrell describes the win as an "11 out of 10" on the scale of excitement for a Tim Horton's store. She added it was a crown jewel for a Franchise that's celebrating it's 20th anniversary at its busy location on Norwich Ave., right off the 401. As for the Friesen family, they're planning on taking their new quiet ride on a vacation to Florida that they had cancelled to attend the funeral that set the wheels in motion on their big win.
