The union says this will get the mail moving again, while also maintaining pressure on Canada Post.
CANADA - About 55,000 striking Canada Post workers will be back on the job this weekend... kind of.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says rotating strike action will begin tomorrow morning. The goal is to get mail and parcels moving again, while also maintaining pressure on the Crown corporation.
The union met with Procurement Minister Joel Lightbound earlier this week. The strike action began after he announced major cutbacks in the midst of negotiations, including the end of home delivery within the next decade.
The union says it's a step in the wrong direction and accused Ottawa of trampling on the collective bargaining process.
The talks continue at this time.
