Nobody was seriously injured after a truck carrying road salt overturned near Shakespeare this morning.
UPDATE: Crews continue to clear approximately 40 tons of salt from the scene. It's estimated the road will re-open in about an hour-and-a-half from now (2:49 pm).
SHAKESPEARE - Nobody was seriously injured after a truck carrying road salt overturned near Shakespeare this morning.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. Road 8 between Roads 109 and 110, soutwest of Shakespeare will be closed for an unknown because of the accident. Crews are currently working to clean up the massive amount of road salt that spilled onto the road and into the ditch.
The Ministry of Environment and MTO are also at the scene to assist with the cleanup and the investigation.
