WOODSTOCK - The Salvation Army of Woodstock is having a plant sale on Saturday.
Volunteer with the Women's Committee at the Salvation Army and Organizer of the Plant Sale Elizabeth Conti explains what they are raising money for.
"The money is going to be earmarked for the Salvation Army Community Services Ministry Food banks in Woodstock and Norwich. The funds will be used to help, moms, young people, tots and perhaps help to spend some kids to some special summer camps."
Conti says they will have all kinds of cool plants available at the sale.
"We have a lot of perennials, we also have some annuals, a lot of annuals have been potted up, in some cute and funky containers as well that are pretty interesting."
The plant sale runs 8:00 to 1:00 pm at the Woodstock Salvation Army Community Church at 769 Juliana Drive this Saturday. It will happen rain or shine.
