OXFORD COUNTY - A severe thunderstorm is in effect for Oxford County, including Woodstock and Tillsonburg.
Environment Canada says heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Remember to slow down on the roads if you can't see and watch for the cars ahead, and be prepared to stop.
They say thunderstorms are likely to produce large hail, damaging winds and torrential rainfall.
It is suggested you remain inside your homes when it begins to thunder. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
