TILLSONBURG - Sargeant Brad Adams is riding his horse through Tillsonburg today as part of Shannon's Cell Mates Ride For The Registry.
Adams started his journey last week and plans to ride 233 kilometres through Haldimand-Norfolk and Tillsonburg. Over the weekend he made a stop at the Norfolk General Hospital. He is doing this ride for his wife, Shannon Adams, who is a Registered Nurse at the NGH. Shannon was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called acute plasma cell leukemia multiple myeloma shortly before Christmas.
The purpose of the ride is to raise awareness of the stem cell registration and to encourage people to sign up for the registry.
This is day 5 of the ride. Adams started his day at the Zehrs in Tillsonburg and is heading down HWY 2 East, right on Jackson Sideroad, left on Middleton-North Walsingham Townline Rd, right on Hwy 59 to Walsingham.
Tomorrow he is taking the day off to give the horse a rest day.
