United Way Oxford is sharing some local love across the County today by delivering candy grams.
OXFORD COUNTY - United Way Oxford is sharing some local love across the County today.
Resource Development Coordinator Mike Crabbe says they wanted to do something for Valentines Day.
"We thought it would be a really fun idea to share some local love across Oxford County, so what we did was we created candy grams that we are delivering throughout the community and we are working with a few local businesses and offered them the opportunity to buy candgrams to their customers, or business partners or anyone they wanted to take the opportunity to thank and all of the money fundraised from this is going to United Way Oxford and will help people in our community."
Crabbe says he has been busy today delivering the candy grams, including a stop at the Heart FM studios.
"We are actually bouncing all over the place, I just came from Tillsonburg, where we visited the Salvation Army, the CIBC there that does a lot of work with us as well as some local volunteers who have worked with us in the past and we just wanted to share with them a small token of appreciation to share with them for everything they do for us."
United Way Oxford wanted to thank Micacchi Warnick & Company and Investment Planning Council for supporting them with this fundraiser.
