A 38-year-old man was diagnosed with a fractured rib after being arrested by Woodstock Police.
WOODSTOCK - The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has terminated its investigation into the arrest of a 38-year-old man in Woodstock.
There was a struggle as Woodstock Police arrested him in the Dundas Street and Peel Street area on April 25th, 2025. He complained of rib pain afterward and was later diagnosed with a rib fracture in hospital.
The SIU says the man showed interest in providing a statement to its investigators. Arrangements were made on several occasions to do so, but the man failed to provide the statement in the end. With that being said, the SIU is unable to move forward with this investigation.
The SIU investigates incidents with police that result in death, serious injury, sexual assault, and/or discharge of a firearm.
