The Special Investigations Unit has been called in after a man was sent to hospital after being arrested by OPP in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - The Special Investigations Unit is looking for witnesses after OPP arrested a man in Tillsonburg.
The SIU says officers were sent to a business at the intersection of Broadway Street and Brock Street at around 5:30pm on Sunday October 30th. Police interacted with a man outside of the business before arresting him.
Once they arrived at the Tillsonburg OPP detachment the man said he was in pain, so he was taken to the local hospital.
Two investigators are looking into the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the lead investigator by calling 1-800-787-8529 with the extension 9044.
The SIU is called to investigate whenever there are reports of police being involved in a death, serious injury or sexual assault.
