A 26 year old man was found dead this morning after trying to escape police by running into a nearby field.
The Special Investigations Unit has been called in to investigate after a 26 year old man died early this morning in Brantford.
Brantford Police attempted to stop the driver of vehicle just after midnight this morning. Police believed the drive was involved in an ongoing investigation. The driver of the vehicle fled, stopping in the area of Highway 403 and Garden Avenue. At this point a man and a woman fled the vehicle into a nearby field.
Police later found the man deceased.
Two investigators and two forensic investigators have been assigned to the case. The post-mortem is scheduled for tomorrow.
