The SIU is investigating the death of a 32-year-old man. He was arrested by the Oxford OPP on Canada Day following a single vehicle crash on the 401.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - A 32-year-old man has died following a serious crash on the 401 in South-West Oxford.
A vehicle lost control on an off-ramp and crashed into a telephone pole on Thursday July 1st.
The two passengers in the vehicle had to be taken to a London hospital with serious injuries and the driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. The 32-year-old man was later arrested by the Oxford OPP and he had to be taken to hospital afterwards.
The Special Investigations Unit says the man was rushed back to the hospital on July 3rd after he was found unresponsive in his cell. He was pronounced dead yesterday.

The SIU is called in to investigate whenever there is a situation involving a police officer that has resulted in death, serious injury, sexual assault or the discharge of a firearm at a person.
