GolfNorth announces closure of Cobble Hills' winter operations
A winter staple in Thamesford won't be opening up for the first time in 50-years.
Cobble Hills will not be opening for skiing, snowboarding and tubing this winter.
GolfNorth, who owns the property, has put the freeze on winter operations, citing expensive upgrades.
In a press release, GolfNorth's President Shawn Evans says the ski hills are "no longer viable, given the capital required to upgrade".
He goes on to say the company will continue to focus on "upgrading the golf experience at Cobble Hills".
They also operate 21 other courses in the region.
