The Health Unit also confirmed 17 resolved cases today and 2 additional deaths. Woodstock has over half of the active cases and Tillsonburg has 0 active cases, 4 weeks after having over 100.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 2 new cases of the virus today, 17 resolved cases and 2 additional COVID-19 related deaths.
The deaths are attributed to a man in his 80s from Oxford County and the other was a woman in her 70s also from Oxford County. The woman's case was associated with the outbreak at Caressant Care in Woodstock.
We currently have 3 people in the hospital with the virus and none are in the ICU at the moment. The Health Unit is reporting 117 active cases with 72 in Woodstock. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

The Health Unit is also reporting 5 active outbreaks at long term care homes, including 3 more cases at Caressant Care Retirement home in Woodstock:
Extendicare Port Stanley - 0 resident cases, 1 staff case and 0 deaths
Caressant Care Retirement Home Woodstock - 51 resident cases, 18 staff cases and 2 deaths
Arches Transitional Bed Program Woodstock - 0 resident cases, 1 staff case and 0 deaths
PeopleCare/Tavistock - 47 resident cases, 38 staff cases, 10 deaths
Trillium Retirement Home Norwich - 1 resident case, 0 staff cases, 1 death
