The Health Unit is also reporting the 12th COVID-19 related death in our region. We currently have 20 residents of long term care homes at Maple Manor in Tillsonburg and PeopleCare in Tavistock who have now tested positive.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 37 new cases of the virus today and 21 recoveries.
The Health Unit also confirmed the 12th COVID-19 related death from our region. We currently have 8 people in the hospital with the virus, including 2 in the ICU. We currently have 197 active cases with most of them in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Aylmer and St. Thomas. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

The Health Unit is also reporting 6 active outbreaks at long term care homes. The outbreak at the Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg has 10 residents who have tested positive for the virus and 8 staff members. The outbreak at PeopleCare in Tavistock now includes 10 residents and 4 staff members.
