Southwestern Public Health Confirms 63 New Cases of COVID-19 Today

SWPH is reporting 63 new COVID-19 cases over the long weekend and 38 resolved cases. This means our active case count has gone up to 115.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health confirmed 63 new cases of COVID-19 over the long weekend and 38 resolved cases. 

This means our active case count has jumped to 115 and you can find the complete break down below;

Woodstock - 33

Ingersoll - 14

Tillsonburg - 12

East Zorra-Tavistock - 3

Zorra Township - 3

Blandford-Blenheim - 2

Norwich Township - 2

South-West Oxford - 1

St. Thomas - 23

Aylmer - 8

Central Elgin - 3

Malahide - 3

Dutton-Dunwich - 3

West Elign - 2

Bayham - 2

Southwold - 1 

Three people are currently being treated for the virus at the hospital, with one of those patients in the ICU.

Southwestern Public Health has screened 81 people for a variant of concern, of those cases, 17 are still active. Southwestern Public Health have now administered at least one dose of vaccine to 13,967 people or 8.4% of the population.
