The number of cases in Oxford sits at 11 overall after four recoveries were reported today. Meanwhile, Elgin and St.Thomas have 58 cases in total after one new case of COVID-19 was confirmed.
OXFORD/ELGIN/ST.THOMAS - Southwestern Public Health reported four recoveries in Oxford County, while one new case was confirmed in Elgin and St.Thomas.
The health unit reported four recoveries in Oxford today, including three in Tillsonburg. Tillsonburg now has nine overall. Meanwhile, Norwich also had one recovery, seeing their case total drop to one and one case still remains in Woodstock.
There are now 11 cases overall in Oxford and there are a total of 58 in Elgin and St.Thomas after there was one new case reported.
The health unit says we have 69 confirmed cases in total. To date, SWPH has had 214 cumulative cases with 140 cases resolved and five deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic there has been four institutional outbreaks. The most recent outbreak occurred at the Terrace Lodge in Aylmer after one staff member tested positive for the virus. That outbreak was declared on July 31st and it is considered active, while the three previous outbreaks have since been resolved.
SWPH has tested 19,190 people so far, receiving 18,816 tests and 18,602 tests have come back negative.
