The employees at Steelcraft in Woodstock were extremely generous this year. $28,867 between 105 employees was raised for the United Way. That breaks down to about $275 from each person. "We work a lot with our employees on the floor and we go through the employee contributions. We really feel stronly about pay roll deductions. Our President Keith Zehr is good at putting out little offers for people," said Steelcraft's Employee Campaign Coordinator Kathy Sayeau. One of those incentives is a day off with pay if they contribute $500 or more. Sayeau says that accounts for a good chunk of their contribution every year. They also hold an annual Car Show and Shine each May. That raised around $3,000. Their Vision Manager Jerry Myers explains what the QCI Division does: "We weld and we machine large components for mining and forestry. We ship out large weldments, axel boxes and so on fully painted and ready for installation on the lines in Peoria, Illonios."
