A stepfather is being hailed a hero after going into a burning building to save his 32 year old stepdaughter.
NORFOLK COUNTY - A stepfather is being hailed a hero after going into a burning building to save his 32 year old stepdaughter.
Emergency crews were called to a fully engulfed house fire on North Road in Houghton, Thursday afternoon around 5:34. Before they arrived, the step dad broke a window in the house and rescued his stepdaughter who was trapped inside.
Both people were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Volunteer firefighters arrived on scene and were able to extinguish the fully engulfed house fire. Two cats and two dogs that were in the home are unaccounted for at this time.
