A tractor trailer filled with beer was stolen in Oxford County this morning. OPP were able to track it down with the help of GPS.
OXFORD COUNTY - The OPP were able to arrest two suspects who stole a tractor trailer filled with beer from Oxford County.
The truck was taken early Monday morning in Oxford County. The owner of the truck was able to help police locate it in Huron East, just north of Brussels after tracking it on his GPS. OPP from Perth County and the West Region Emergency Response Team, West Tregion Canine and helicopter were called in to help track down the tractor-trailer.
Police recovered the tractor-trailer unit and cargo, which is worth in excess of $100,000.
Two males were arrested at the scene.
A section of Jamestown Road in between Brussels Line and McDonald Line is closed temporarily to facilitate the removal of the tractor-trailer unit and cargo.
