Emergency Response Teams from Stratford and London had to negotiate with a man who barricaded himself in a home for nine hours yesterday.
STRATFORD - It was a long day after Stratford Police negotiated with a man who was barricaded in a home for nine hours.
Officers first arrived at the scene in the 400th block of Downie Street at around 2pm yesterday. Emergency Response Teams from both Stratford and London reasoned with the 37 year old inside.
Another man was also in the home at the time but he was able to free himself before being taken into custody.
The 37 year old did eventually exit the building in the end in what police are calling a safe conclusion. He was also taken into custody and no injuries were reported.
An investigation is still ongoing.
