It will be a very special Streetfest this year, as Woodstock celebrates the 40th anniversary of the BIA.
WOODSTOCK - Downtown Woodstock will be a lively place from August 3rd til the 7th this year for Streetfest.
A stretch of Dundas Street between Beale/Bay Street and Van Ave will be completely shut down as local vendors set up booths outside.
Councillor Connie Lauder says this year Steetfest will be extra special.
"This is the 40th anniversary of the BIA, so they are having a few extra things this year. There's people singing on the streets and wonderful fun things for the children."
Streetfest will also feature a car show.
Lauder praises the work BIA Manager Kelly Morrison has done to make Streetfest a wonderful occasion.
"She does a great job with organizing this; she works very hard at it so it's a great event. People seem to love it and get out on the streets with the restaurants; the pubs and different places open at certain hours of the night. It's just a fun time."
