WOODSTOCK - Students at College Avenue Secondary School celebrated Earth Week today by picking up garbage around the school.
About 50 students participated in the cleanup this afternoon.
Teacher Mr. Gordon tells Heart FM he thinks it is a good place for the kids to be show they care for the environment and the world around them.
Several students were excited to talk about their efforts on Friday with one joking they were saving the environment one piece of garbage at a time.
Students across the Country have been doing projects just like this one for Earth Week.
Other schools in the region took part as well like East Oxford Central Public School who implemented outdoor learning classrooms to teach the students how important it is to respect the environment.
