Perth County OPP Auxiliary members were able to stuff five cruisers and a prisoner van with food for the local food bank.
The Perth County OPP Auxilary unit were able to stuff six cruisers with food for the local food banks.
They were set up on Saturday in Listowel, Mitchell and St Marys collecting food donations. All three locations had positive results and they were able to drop off a lot of food to the Salvation Army Food Bank in all three communities.
In Listowel they were able to collect 12 shopping carts full of food flling two cruisers.
Over in Mitchell they had 10 full shopping carts which was enough to fill the Perth County OPP prisoner van.
And finally in St Marys they had 18 shopping carts full of food and they need three cruisers to dispense it all.
"The Perth County OPP Auxiliary Unit wishes to thank the community for their generosity which was truly overwhelming."
The Auxiliary Unit will doing another food drive this Saturday in St Marys from 9:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the Canadian Tire.
