Sunshine List: Police, Justice & Fire

Woodstock Police took the biggest jump this year in the number of staff making the provincial sunshine list in all of Oxford County. The annual list discloses public sector employees that make over 100-thousand dollars a year. This year, 28 members of the Woodstock Police made the list, compared to 13 last year. This is in large part due to a number of Constables and Detective Constables now cracking the list at just over that 100-thousand dollar threshold. The top earner was Police Chief Rod Freeman at 176-thousand dollars, followed by Deputy Chief Darryl Longworth at 143-thousand, and Inspector Bill Renton at 141-thousand dollars. As for the Fire Department, it stayed the same with 8 of the city's top firefighters clearing 6-figures, the same as 2010. Chief Scott Tegler was the top earner at 172-thousand dollars.
