Police say a 28 year old from Hamilton was arrested after receiving numerous calls about a pedestrian on Hwy #401 on Wednesday.
OXFORD COUNTY - After police received several 911 calls about suspicious activity on Hwy #401, Oxford OPP quickly responded and found an unoccupied vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was located nearby and subsequently arrested around 7:45 p.m Wednesday evening.
Police have charged 28 year old Adrian Cruikshanks of Hamilton with the following offences:
- Theft
- Theft Over $5000 of a Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Operation While Impaired - Drug or alcohol
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Driving While Under suspension
The accused is scheduled to appear before a Woodstock court at a later date.
