SWPH is reporting 58 new cases of COVID-19 from the weekend, 41 resolved cases and another death. Locally we have 16 people in the hospital right now, including 8 in the ICU with COVID-19.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 58 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, 41 resolved cases and another COVID-19 related death.
The deceased is a man in his 70's from St. Thomas.

16 people are currently being treated for the virus at the hospital and 8 of those patients are in the ICU. This data only reflects SWPH patients and is not an indicator of our local hospital capacity. It is a reflection of how many people locally had a sever enough illness from COVID-19 to end up in the hospital or ICU.
An Outbreak has been declared at the Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock and the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.
Caressant Care has 4 residents and 6 staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19, meanwhile 10 patients and 5 staff members at the hospital have tested positive.
