The Tavistock Braves are giving back to the community this year through a community Fish Fry.
TAVISTOCK - The Tavistock Braves are hosting a Fish Fry on Saturday night.
It's all happening at the Tavistock Memorial Hall with Good food, drinks and live entertainment. The doors open at 4:00pm and things will get underway between 4:30pm and 7:30pm.
General Manager, Jordan Zehr talks about some of the highlights of the night.
"It's a good chance for people to come and have some good food, couple drinks, you can meet the team, their all there, they help serve. It's fun. We have some live entertainment by way of a DJ. It's a good night to help the team raise a little money."
Zehr adds that the team wants to give back to the community for their support.
"The community all season long, especially in the playoffs, came and rallied behind the guys. An opportunity for them to come and actually speak with the players and let the players show their appreciation as well because without that incredible fan support it might not have been as successful of a play off run."
This year they are also doing takeout at the fish fry for people who maybe don't have time to stay and sit down.
Tickets will be available at the door. Adults are $20.00 and children (8-12) are $10.00. Anyone is welcome to come out for a night of fun all while supporting your local hockey team.
