If you're planning on picking up some last minute Thanksgiving groceries at Food Basics today, you might be able to spot lots of orange tags throughout the store.
WOODSTOCK - Operation Sharing will be holding a taxable item drive at the Woodstock Food Basics today.
Volunteer Community Coordinator Chris Eby says it will go hand in hand with the Food for Friends program.
"When they go to buy their food with their food card they cannot buy taxable items like toilet paper, soap, dish detergent or other essentials of life."
Eby says the shoppers will know what to buy.
"We will have all of the items tagged in the store; 12 items that are desperately needed at Operation Sharing. I will be there handing out a list to every customer that comes into the store so you know what is needed. It's orange on the shelf and it's orange to your hand."
People will be able buy the items and donate them after the checkout. The drive will take place between 8 p.m. and 4 p.m.
