The Warden's Golf Tournament benefiting the Oxford Community Foundation is still accepting registrations
The Warden's Golf Tournament will be taking place at The Bridges At Tillsonburg on June 24th.
For $130 golfers can play in the 18 hole tournament and enjoy breakfast and lunch. In addition they will also get a $50 tax receipt. This year, there's also a $10,000 prize if you get a hole-in-one on the second hole of the course.
Ron Couglar, the Executive Director of the Oxford Community Foundation, explains what the day's schedule looks like.
"We'll do a kick off early morning breakfast at 7:15 a.m., shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., play our 18 holes, have a lunch and some door prizes. It should be a really nice morning so we're excited about it."
All of the proceeds made from the tournament also benefit the Oxford Community Foundation.
"Our money gets spread around the county. Things like the hockey teams, DASO - the women's shelter, and the navy cadets. We have a whole range of organizations we support. This organization is set up to do just that: it is to help other organizations, non profits, and charities."
Last year the foundation supported 25 charities throughout the county.
To register visit the Oxford Community Foundation's website or call their office at 519-539-7447 with the extension 229. Golfers should register before June 17th.
